Pulwama: A youth was killed and two others were injured on Saturday in a road accident at Kachechkoot area of Awantipora in this South Kashmir district.

Sources said that the accident occurred on Saturday evening when a Taveera vehicle (JK04C-0170) collided with a motorcycle, leaving three youth including the motorcyclist and two pillion riders injured.

The injured–Aaqib Rashid, Tasaduq Ahmad Dar and Abid Rashid–were rushed to SKIMS Soura in a critical condition, they said. One of them, Aqib Rashid, died later  and two others continue to battle for life at the Valley’s only tertiary care hospital, they added.
