Rail service resumes in North Kashmir

Srinagar: Train began chug on the tracks following day’s suspension over a shutdown yesterday called by Joint Resistance Leadership to commemorate third death anniversary of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) commander Burhan Wani who was killed in an encounter by forces.

Officials said that  train will chug on Srinagar-Badgam and Baramulla in north Kashmir. Similarly, train service will also operate on Badgam-Srinagar-Anantnag-Qazigund in south Kashmir to Banihal in Jammu region, he added.

All the morning trains operated as per schedule on all routes, he added.
