Drug peddlers on way to sell contraband substance to school kids arrested in Baramulla

Srinagar: Police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested six drug peddlers and recovered contraband substances from their posession in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday.

The arrested have been identified as Mohd. Rafiq Sofi s/o Mohd. Subhan Sofi r/o Jalal Sahab Baramulla and Naveed Manzoor Najar @ Bob Nakvor s/o Manzoor Ahmad Najar r/o Iqbal Colony Baramulla .

“Huge quantity of brown sugar like substance was recovered from their possessions, and they were on way to sell it to the school children,” police said.

“Police party of Police Post Delina have arrested four drug peddlers of Delina area namely  Mohsin Yousuf Mir @ Munna s/o Mohd. Yousuf Mir r/o Delina,  Danish Qazi s/o Ab. Hamid Qazi R/o Boniyar A/P Delina,  Mohd. Abbas Mir @ Wasil s/o Gh. Mohd Mir r/o Delina  and Sadam Hussain Khan s/o Mohd Hussain Khan R/o Kanispora.

Police said that huge quantity of brown sugar like substance which is about 209 grams and Spasmoproxyvon Plus Capsules were recovered from their posession.
In this regard, case FIR No. 114/2019 u/s 8/21-29 NDPS Act, 120-B RPC has been  registered in P/S Baramulla and investigation was taken up.

More arrested are expected in coming days, police said.
