Ganderbal: A tractor driver was killed while another person was injured after the tractor they were on turned turtle on Srinagar-leh highway at Gund area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Tuesday evening.

An official said that a tractor JK16A-4342 was travelling from Gagangeer to Gund when it skidded off the road and turned turtle.

The deceased was identified as Riyaz Ahmad Bhat 26,  son of Manzoor Ahmad Bhat, resident of Fraw Gund.

The injured has been  identified as Muzaffar Ahmad Lone, resident of Gund.

He was shifted to primary health center Gund where doctors referred him to SKIMS Soura for for treatment.

Police have registered a case and investigation is taken up.
