Saturday: Police on Saturday identified the two militants killed in Midoora encounter in Pulwama district as Jaish e Mohammad affiliates.

The slain militants have been identified as Yawar Ahmad Najar of Darganie Gund Tral and another one is a foreigner codenamed Umar from Pakistan.

 Police said that the duo were involved in series of attacks in Tral and Awantipora area including firing on forces at Zaji Kurd Lalpora forests on 07 April 2019, attack on Security Forces at Sofigund Forest on 09 April 2019,and an IED explosion at Amlar Tral road during the interveining night of 02/03 March 2019.

Police has requested people to cooperate with them till the area is completely sanitized and cleared of all the explosives materials if any.
