Gunfight rages in Yarwan woods in Shopian

Encounter broke out between militants and government forces in yarwan forest area in South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Tuesday.

Initial reports said that forces had earlier launched a search operation in the woods to flush out militants.

“Contact with militants has been made and exchange of gunfire erupted,” reports said.
