Govt school teacher hires private tutor to work as replacement in Kupwara school, takes care of his business

Kupwara: In a brazen violation of rules a government school teacher posted at SSA primary school Bhat Mohallah here, has hired a private tutor to give lessons on his behalf in school while himself busy with business he runs.

This came to fore when  Tehsildar  Kralproa on Thursday conducted surprise visit to sevral government offices including schools in winter locked area Badnambal.

“He visited various institutes including Government middle school Badnambal, SSA primary School Bhat Mohallah and Governemnt girls middle school,” sources said.
“Farooq Ahmad Bhat a teacher deputed at SSA primary school Bhat Mohallah was found absent, but he has hired a private teacher as his replacement. The teacher has devoted his time to his business and has been missing from duties for weeks now,” they said.
Chief Education Officer Kupwara Shafi Nabi said that they have come to know about the practice and are waiting for a communication from tehslidar.
“Let the communication reach, will take stern action against erring officer,” he said.
Meanwhile Tehsildar Kralpora has already put a communication with  Deputy commissioner Kupwara for necessary action in this regard.
