Ganderbal: Jammu and Kashmir Bank’s Rural Self Employment Training Institute Ganderbal concluded 10-day training programme of the 90th batch on Wednesday.
As many as 27 unemployed youth from different areas including Ganderbal, Nunner, Doderhama, Gund, Gutlibagh, Lar & main Ganderbal participated in the programme.
District Development Commissioner Ganderbal Hashmat Ali Khan chaired the valedictory session.
J&K Bank Cluster Head Farhat Abbass, Director RSETI Ganderbal Manzoor Ul Hussain Hamdani, Lead District Manager Ganderbal Farooq Ahmad Wani and other senior officers of the bank attended the session.
Speaking on the occasion, DDC Ganderbal said “Taking various skill courses & trainings at institutes like RSETIs is always satisfying and more and more youngsters should avail the opportunity for such trainings. He further added that “budding entrepreneurs should explore advanced business activities to scale up the purpose of entrepreneurship and to meet that call government shall provide every possible help.”
While having a detailed interaction with the candidates, DDC expressed his satisfaction about the training procedures at RSETIs and the facilities being provided to them during the period of training.
Earlier Director RSETI Manzoor Ul Hussain Hamdani expressed his views on the mission & purpose of RSETIs and briefed the Chief Guest about the efforts of the institute in identifying the financially poor candidates for trainings in various vocational courses, encouraging them to be a part of self-employment culture.”
Cluster Head Ganderbal Farhat Abbass highlighted the role of J&K Bank saying, “The bank has always been on the forefront in the upliftment of downtrodden, poor unemployed youth in line with the RSETI mission and efforts in the same direction shall continue”
The function ended with the distribution of certificates among the trainees at the hands of the Chief Guest. Notably, since April 2019, RSETI Ganderbal has trained 57 candidates under PMEGP.
