Baramulla:  Hailstorm with strong winds caused extensive damages to crops including of apple, walnut and vegetable fields in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday.

Reports said that parts of upper reaches of Baramulla were hit by hailstorm with strong winds that continued for at least 10 to 15 minutes.

“The areas which were affected including Kandi, Shumralan, Nowgam, Larid, Ora, Katyawali, Gohon and other areas as well,” farmers Kandi belt told INS.

Farmers urged district administration to depute teams to assess the damage caused by heavy rains and hailstorm in parts of Baramulla.
