Sopore: A 40-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping a 12-year-old girl in Sopore town of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

The incident took place on Monday when the 12-year-old girl (name with held) went school but didn’t return on time. The family grew anxious and returned home in a subconscious condition and told the family about the crime. The infuriated family members went to Sopore police station and lodge their complaint following which a case(FIR No. 107/2019) under section 363/376 RPC was registered against the accused Fayaz Ahamd Shakar  who was later arrested.
