Damaged in 2014 floods school still in shambles at Kakapora Pulwama

Pulwama: A Primary School located at Kakapora Wookh village in Pulwama district following was damaged in 2014 floods and the building is still in shambles waiting for renovations.

Villager’s told INS that building damaged five years ago is yet to be renovated and education department is callous about it.

“No efforts have been made by the education department to renovate the school. The condition of the school has forced locals to stop their kids to this school,” they said.

“The construction of the Primary School wookh will be taken up soon,” said Zonal Planning Officer Kakapora, Mohammad Yaseen.
He claimed that the work is going on in Zone Kakapora in a phased manner as there are other schools who also suffered damage by floods in 2014.

“I have already take up the primary school issue soon we will renovate it” he added
