Srinagar: A panch was shot at by suspected militants at Shalipora village in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Wednesday evening.

Reports said that the masked gunmen believed to be militants barged inside the house of Abdul Majeed Dar and fired upon him, leaving him critically injured.

Majeed, a panch who contested as an independent candidate after he quit PDP, was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors referred him to SMHS hospital Srinagar in critical conditions, reports said.
