Sopore: Massive clashes erupted in Main Town Sopore following a grenade attack on CRPF near SBI bank on Thursday.

Officials said that suspected militants lobbed a grenade on the forces that exploded with a bang.

While there was no report of any loss to life or property, forces were rushed to spot.

Protesting youth took to streets and clashed with forces deployed in the area and resorted to stone pelting.

“Police resorted to tear gas shelling,” locals said.
