Srinagar: Senior National Conference leader and former MLC Bashir Ahmad Veeri’s PSO was critically injured after his service rifle went off accidentally at Dak Bungalow in Anantnag district of South Kashmir on Sunday.

Officials said that the PSO, Jahangir Ahmad, suffered injuries in his chest while he was cleaning rifle.

The PSO was immediately shifted to district hospital Anantnag from where he was shifted to 92 Army’s 92 Base Hospital for specialized treatment, the officials added.
