Srinagar: The authorities have decided to allow only heavy motor vehicles towards Srinagar on the strategic highway tomorrow.

“Today traffic movement affected on Jammu Srinagar highway due to intermittent shooting stones near Sharika Mandir and between Ramban- Banihal stretch,” a traffic department official said.

“Subject to fair weather/clearance of road tomorrow, only stranded  vehicles i.e. HMVs shall be allowed towards Srinagar. No LMV (PSV) shall be allowed towards Srinagar from Jammu side,” he said. All the concerned officials have been asked to ensure strict implementation of traffic plan and advisory for hassle free movement of HMVs on highway, the only surface link connecting Kashmir with rest of the world.
