Kulgam Encounter: Several Injured In Ongoing Clashes

Kulgam: Several protesters have been injured in the ongoing clashes  around the encounter site at Turigam area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

Locals told INS that in forces action on protesting people several were injured and among them some have been referred to Srinagar as well.

A local said that hundreds of protesters including women assembled around the gunfight site  and pelted stones on forces who responded to intense tear smoke shelling

“People in large numbers from adjacent areas including Bolsu, Parigam , Kader, Nuunmai marched towards site while raising pro freedom, pro Pakistan and pro militancy slogans,” they said.

The clashes were going on when this report was being filed.
