Highway: Traffic halted as overnight rains trigger landslides

Srinagar: Vehicular movement on the Srinagar Jammu highway has been halted due to fresh landslides triggered by overnight rains over the stretch.

An official said that the rains lashed the stretch and triggered landslides in Ramsoo and Ramban areas.

“Landslides have blocked the road and men and machinery is working to clear the debris,” he said.

He said that once the debris is cleared from the road, traffic will be allowed to move again.
