Only Valley bound vehilces will ply today, Highway open for second day: Officials

Srinagar: Only Srinagar bound stranded vehicles are being allowed to move on highway that remains open for second consecutive day.

Officials at the traffic police department said that while Srinagar Jammu highway has been opened but only those vehicles which have been stranded will be allowed to move towards valley on Thursday.

Highway remained shut for six straight days leading to crisis like situation in valley as essentials stocks depleted and government was forced to put embargo on petrol and diesel.
