Tral : Around seventy percent roads in Tral sub division are yet to be cleared after fresh snowfall, which continues in the region after it was started during the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday.
Locals in Kahlil areas, Nahir Khasipora areas, Panner and Bhatnoor areas, Panzoo, Narastan, Shikargah, Chatrogam, Gamraz and other adjoining areas informed INS that, they are facing huge inconveniences in presence of snow on roads.
They said that, “as the day is about to end, authorities seems to be deep slumber as snow clearance machines are no where in these areas, which adds to their woes”
They said that patients are not able to go for medical checkups as snow is accumulated everywhere with “no intervention from concerned authorities till now”
The locals have demanded immediate clearance of snow on all these roads “so that people particularly patients will take sigh of relief”
Meanwhile, an official has said that, “there is only one machine available for whole subdivision, due to which it takes time to clear snow”
He further said that, “area received heavy snowfall, due to which machine couldn’t proceed for swift clearance and added that they are trying best to reach all the areas”
Snowfall was continuing in the area when this report was filed in.
