Tral without power supply from last 18 hours, officials say line being restored

Tral : Due to fresh snowfall, power outage has badly hit Tral sub-division of Pulwama district as from last eighteen hours, PDD is yet to restore electricity after it got damaged in the area on Thursday.
Officials said soon after the snowfall, “snow was accumulated on the trees and electric wires due to which damage was done to the power supply in main town Tral”
The locals have however said that they have been facing immense hardships in absence of electricity from last eighteen hours “with no intervention from authorities in repairing the line”
They further said that they are eagerly waiting to see the electricity back in the area “to avoid more sufferings”
“Power remains snapped for more than 18 hours in Tral. residents particularly the students suffer as they are not able to study well. Mobile phones are also down,” locals told INS.
While talking to INS, the locals have demanded immediate restoration of power supply in the area to mitigate their sufferings.
Assistant Executive Engineer, PDD Sub Division, Tral, M.M.Ahanger , told INS that, electricity is being restored in the Tral sub division.
“The line was damaged in Tral town near future vision school. We are in the process to restore electricity. It will be restored till today afternoon,” Ahanger Said.
