Suspected militants shot dead slain Al-Badr Commander’s cousin sister, release video in which she is seen begging for pardon

Shopian: Bullet-riddled body of a girl, cousin sister of slain Al-Badr commander Zeenat Islam, was found from Draggad area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday, several hours after a ten second video surfaced on social media in which she is begging pardon before being shot dead by the unidentified militants.
The girl, Ishrat Muneer Bhat, was allegedly abducted by suspected militants and was later shot dead from point blank range at Cherbagh area of Draggad where from her body was recovered by police early today.
A police official said that a case under relevant sections of law has been registered and further investigations taken up.
Late last night, a video of 10 second duration surfaced on internet in which the girl is begging for the pardon. Ishrat was the maternal cousin of the militant commander Zeenat-ul-Islam who along with his associate was killed in an encounter with government forces at Katpora Kulgam on January 13.
