Justice Masoodi inaugurates workshop on Childline service

Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Integrated Child Protection Services (JKICPS) and Child Resource Centre (CRC) organised a special one day workshop to familiarize the stakeholders with the Childline service in Jammu division.
Childline India is a project of Union Ministry of Women and Child Development. Childline India foundation is a non-government organisation (NGO) that operates a telephone helpline called Childline, for receiving information about children in distress. It is India’s first 24-hour toll free phone outreach service (1098) for children
Justice Hasnain Masoodi Chairperson SCOC, the Chief Guest on the occasion, inaugurated the workshop and highlighted the role of Childline as an emergency outreach services for children. He informed that process has already been initiated with Childline India Foundation for establishing Childline Services across 22 districts of the State by 2020.
Member SCOC, Rajiv Khajuria, gave a brief perspective about the Working of Childline in the State of J&K.
The Chairpersons of Child Welfare Committees (CWCs) Jammu division were also present at the workshop.
