The tests are scheduled for Karnah/Teethwal/Taad on 30 and 31 of this month, Keran and Machil/Budnamal/Jumagand on 01 and 02 February respectively.

Due to the closure of the border roads the candidates who have applied for SPO posts are not able to come on the given time, “Our area is completely cut off from the District headquarters, it is not possible for us to reach on the given dates,” said Shamas-din of Budanamal.

The road leading to our village is cleared at the end of the February due to the snow avalanche warnings, “We appeal to the higher ups of Police to change the date for the physical test,” said candidates of Budanamal.

The road connecting Keran and Machil are closed from the first snowfall, “It has been almost a month now that the way leading to our area is closed, so how come we can be present on the very less time,” said Naseem of Keran.

The notice has been issued to subject fair weather and connectivity of road, “The candidates are requested not to put their life at risk, we will wait till the roads will connect the areas,” Senior Superintendent of Police Kupwara Shriram Ambarkar Dinkar told.

We will see if it is possible we will depute teams to Keran and Machil who can do the physical test there, “there is no need to be panic, we will wait for the candidates who have applied for the Post,” Ambarkar added.
