Jammu: A lady was Tuesday rescued after she had falled into a canal near Yatri Niwas Jammu.

According to police they received an information that at PP Canal a lady has fallen in Canal near Shamshan Ghat next to Yatri Niwas, Jammu.

“ On this, I/C PP Canal SI Sohan Singh alongwith his team reached the spot and rescued the lady with the help of some locals of the area,” police said.

She was identified as Chanchala Devi W/O Gian Chand R/O Kota Dhar, Sudhmahadev, Udhampur A/P Paloura, Jammu.

“After knowing her whereabouts she was handed over to PP Pouni Chak in presence of her son,” police said.

After rescue, she was also given First-aid.
