Two militants killed, 6 forces personnel injured in Khunmoh gunfight

Pampore: Two militants have been killed and six government forces personnel have been injured in an encounter that broke out between forces and militants at Khanmoh Khrew area of Srinagar outskirts on Saturday.

Reports said that two to three militants are believed to be trapped in school building.

An official said that three forces personnel have received injuries in the firefight and have been evacuated from the gunbattle site.

They that a joint team of forces launched cordon and search operation in Khanmoh after having credible input about presence of some militants .

A top police officer said that the two militants have been killed in the gunfight so far while the operation is still in progress.
