Kumar awarded Election Commission of India’s National Award 2018

Srinagar: J&K Cadre 1997 batch IPS officer, Vijay Kumar, who is presently on central deputation and posted as IG Operation & COBRA in CRPF, has been awarded Election Commission of India’s National Award 2018 on the eve of National Voters Day by the President of India.

Earlier, Kumar had been awarded several Gallantry Medals from the President of India and the Governor of J&K, Commendation Cards from the COAS and the GOC-in-C Northern Command and Commendation discs from the DGP J&K and the DG CRPF, while serving in different assignments in Kashmir Valley.
