Kulgam:  The Non Gazetted forest officers  Association of Forest Department on Thursday protested against the authorities for failing to fulfill their service demands.

The association led by its District president Javid Iqbal, Divisional forest office Kulgam demanded convening of departmental promotion committee of all cadres including class IV employees, drivers, cleaners, ministerial staff, pay anomaly, two days extra salary, risk allowance, implementation of SRO 106.

“The officers are enjoying their promotion and postings but the non gazetted employee are ignored and deprived of their legal service benefits”, they said, adding that the government should resolve their demands or face a prolonged agitation.

The employees have been protesting from Jan 17 under the banner of Non Gazzetted Forest Officers Association
