Anantnag: Panic gripped Anantnag’s Omoh and surrounding villages after a gas tanker overturned on Srinagar-Jammu highway on Thursday night. There was gas leakage soon after the mishap, sources said.

Station House Officer Mubarak told INS that a police party with fire dousing equipments has been rushed to the spot and they managed to avert fire outbreak by spraying water to the gas tanker.

“We stopped the traffic on highway momentarily,” he said, adding that normalcy returned after police and fire and emergency reached on the spot.
