Top Al-Badr commander Zeent-ul-Islam among 2 militants killed in Kulgam

Srinagar:  Top Al-Badr commander Zeent-ul-Islam  was among two militants killed in an encounter with government forces at Katpora area of Kulgam district in south Kashmir on Saturday. The encounter ensued after a group of four militants fired upon the government forces amid a cordon and search operation launched by them including 34 RR and police. Among the slain is said to be Zeent-ul-Islam Shah alias Dr Usman while the second militants has been identified as Shakeel Ahmad Dar alias Faisal, both residents of Chilipora Shopian. Zeenat was earlier affiliated with Hizbul Mujahideen outfit and later he joined Al Badr militant outfit. Following the gunfight, authorities snapped internet services in the Kulgam and Shopian districts.
