Class 10th results: 6 Anantnag Gov’t schools get Zero percent result, suspensions and stopping increments ordered

Anantnag: Not a single student of these six government schools in Anantnag District could qualify the metric exams this year.
Besides, one Government school have recorded below 20 percent pass percentage, HS Waghama and other at least 24 Government schools have recorded below 50 percent pass percentage in 2018 Annual Regular Board exam of Class 10th in Anantnag District.
Official sources told to INS that the schools with zero percent pass percentage are government Govt HS Chowgam, Govt HS Sethar, Govt HS Gawrun, Govt HS Chree, Govt HS Poru Kalnag, Govt HSS Hiller,
Following the poor performance of the schools, the department has decided to put the teachers who have zero percent and below 20 percent results under suspension while as increment will be stopped for those teachers who have below 50 percent results in their schools.
The result of annual 2018 class 10th was declared by JKBOSE on December 29. As per the BOSE figures, around 55472 students- 28636 boys and 26836 girls from government and private schools had appeared in the exams out of which 41846 students were declared as qualified with an overall pass percentage of 75.44 percent.
Meanwhile talking to the INS Joint Director Education south Kashmir Showkat Ahmad Rather said that we have already forwarded the result percentage data of Anantnag Government schools to Director education office srinager.
“The department will take action against these poor performed schools,” He said.
