Rs. 42.22 lacs realized as State Tax department continues drive against defaulters

Srinagar: Continuing with the drive against the tax defaulters, the Enforcement team led by Manzoor Ahmad Bhat, Additional Commissioner, State Taxes, (Administration & Enforcement) Kashmir along with State Taxes Officers of the department carried out inspections of dealers falling within the territorial jurisdiction of Districts of Srinagar and Ganderbal.
The documents of the defaulting dealers were seized on the spot and action as warranted under the J&K GST Act, 2017 and rules framed there under has been initiated against them. An amount of Rs. 42.22 lacs has been realized from the defaulting dealers, so far, during the month of January 2019.
All the dealers of the Kashmir Division were advised to follow the provisions and the rules framed under the J&K GST Act, 2017, to avoid any penal action.
