Div Com reviews progress on Srinagar Ring Road Project at HLC meeting

Srinagar: Divisional Commissioner, Baseer Ahmad Khan on Monday chaired 247th High-Level Committee (HLC) meeting of Syed Mirak Shah (SMS) Road, Khanyar-Zadibal-Pandach (KZP) Road and other developmental works of Circular Road Project to review the rehabilitation and disbursement of cash compensation to the people whose structures and land has come under the Project.
The meeting held a threadbare discussion with photographic evidence regarding the land, structure and shops acquisition on SMS Road, KZP Road, Critical Bottleneck Structures on SafaKadal Jamallatta Road, Widening of Bottlenecks of BuchporaHazratbal Road (Phase-1), Community Centre Namchibal, Community Centre Babademb, Community Centre Mir Masjid Khanyar, Critical Bottleneck Structures on Safa Kadal Jamallatta Road, Widening of Bottlenecks of Buchpora Hazratbal Road (Phase-1), area widening at Peer Dastageer Sahib, area widening at Community Centre Jamia Masjid Nowhatta and Govt Boys Middle School Kailashpora. Allotment of shops for dislocated shopkeepers of Syed Mirak Shah Road in SMC Shopping Complex at Khayam and Allotment of shops for dislocated shopkeepers of Qamarwari Chowk in ERA complex at Ram Bagh.
The Divisional Commissioner also interacted with affected families and shopkeepers. After mutual understanding, cash compensation and allotment of shops were approved in various cases in favour of affected beneficiaries whose land, structures and shops come under the different works of Circular Road Project.
The cash compensation and shops allotment were given to the families and shopkeepers as per the field verification, submission of Aadhaar cards and other requisite formalities.
On the occasion, the Divisional Commissioner directed R&B engineers to demolish the structures and shops immediately whose owners have received compensation.
He stressed upon the concerned authorities to speed up the rehabilitation process and clear the pending cases immediately so that the Syed Mirak Shah Road, Khanyar-Zadibal-Pandach Road and other developmental works of Circular Road Project are expedited for early completion.
Additional Development Commissioner Kashmir Abdul Salam Mir, Additional District Development Commissioner Srinagar K KSidha, Assistant Commissioner with Div Com Qazi Irfan, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Peerzada Zahoor, VC SDA, Joint Commissioner SMC, Superintending Engineer R&B, Chief Town planner, affected persons and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
