Chief Electoral Officer reviews media plan for Lok Sabha polls

Jammu: Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), J&K, Shailendra Kumar today convened a meeting with Secretary Information, Sarmad Hafeez to formulate the media plan for dissemination of information during the upcoming General Elections to Lok Sabha-2019.
Director Information, Tariq Ahmad Zargar and Dy Chief Electoral Officer, Anil Sagotra were also present during the deliberations.
Threadbare discussions were held on the formulation of the media plan for effective dissemination of information to the public during the general elections and also the issues related to expenditure made by contesting candidates on advertisements.
The issue of checking the menace of fake news on social media platforms also came up for discussion
