Pulwama: A complete shutdown was observed on the second consecutive on Sunday against the killing of four Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) militants in Rajpora area of Pulwama district on Saturday.
All the shops, business and other establishments were closed in the area while public transport was mainly off the roads. The internet services also remained suspended in Police district Pulwama.
Four militants of Jaish-e-Muhammad outfit including outfit’s district commander were killed in an encounter with government forces at Hanjan area of Rajpora in Pulwama.
Three of the slain were locals and include Muzamil Ahmad Dar son of Ghulam Nabi Dar of Rahmoo Pulwama, Waseem Akram Wani son of Mohammad Akram Wani of Tiken Batapora Pulwama and Muzamil Nazir Bhat son of Nazir Ahmad Bhat resident of Prichoo Pulwama.
