Sopore, Dec 11: Government Forces launched a cordon-and-search operation at Saidpora village of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday.

Reports said that a joint team of Army’s 22 Rashtriya Rifles, Special Operation Group of Police (SOG) and CRPF’s 177 and 179 battalions sealed the area and conducted door to door search.

Official sources told INS that the CASO was launched following the inputs about the presence of militants in the area. The searches were going on when reports last came in.
