Sehrai, Malik others attend funeral prayers of Geelani’s son-in-law at Sopore

Sopore: Tehreek-e-Hurriyat chairperson Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik and several other resistance leaders and activists on Wednesday participated in the funeral prayers of octogenarian Hurriyat patriarch Syed Ali Geelani’s son-in-law at Sopore.

Witnesses said a large number op people attended the funeral procession of Ghulam Hassan Makhdoomi at Dooru village of Sopore.

Makhdoomi passed away in SKIMS hospital in Srinagar on Tuesday.

Sources said that Geelani, who is under house detention at his Hyderpora residence since 2010 could not attend the funeral prayers due to health issues.
