BHADERWAH: Curfew was relaxed for more than three hours in Bhaderwah area of Chenab valley on Saturday evening in view of improvement in situation.
“Curfew in Bhaderwah town has been relaxed for three hours from 3; 30 p.m. to 6 p.m today to allow people to get their essential commodities however . the suspension of internet on mobile services would remained imposed,” Additional District Magistrate, Bhaderwah , Dr Ravi Kumar Bharti said.
“There was no report of any untoward incident from anywhere in the Bhaderwah town and its surrounding areas in the past 24 hours. The situation is limping back to normal and in view of this improvement, we have decided to relax the curfew,” Bharti said.
The administration and the state police are making all efforts to restore peace and normalcy,” he said.
It is notable to mention here that curfew was imposed in Bhaderwah yesterday morning after the killing of BJP state Secretary Anil Parihar and his brother on Thursday night in Kishtwar district of Chenab valley .
The Army carried out a flag march in the curfew bound areas of Kishtwar while the police and paramilitary forces were deployed in Bhaderwah and parts of Doda districts.
