Militants attack police picket at former Congress district president’s house in Shopian

Shopian: Suspected militants on Tuesday evening attacked a police picket guarding the house of former Congress District President, Mohammad Shafi Banday, in Bona Bazar area of Shopian with grenade and followed it with firing. However, as per official sources there was no loss of life or injury to anyone in the incident. The area is being cordoned off by government forces in a bid to nab the attackers, they said. No police official could be contacted for comments to regarding the incident.
