Forces launch CASO in Shopian villages

Shopian: Clashes erupted in Nadigam village of Shopian of the southern district as soon as joint team of government forces launched a joint cordon-and-search-operation on Friday
Sources said as the joint team comprising Army , CRPF and J&K police laid the CASO in the village, youth took to streets and clashed with them. The forces lobbed tear smoke shells to disperse them, the sources said.
The CASO was launched after receiving input about the presence of militants in the village, official said. The clashes were going on when this report was filled.
