Amid clashes woman hit with pellets in Bandipora

Bandipora:  A woman was injured after being hit with pellers in clashes that erupted in Bandipora between protesters and police on Monday.

“Shabeena Wife of Javid Ahmad Dar was injured after being hit by pellets when clashes erupted in Lankreshipora village of Bandipora, after youth attacked a police vehicle with stones,” locals said.

Hospital sources also confirmed that a woman was brought with pellet injuries.

“At Lankreshipora, polling for Ward 8 is underway,” they said.

Meanwhile, Clashes have also erupted in Plan Bandipora near Govt Girls higher secondary school.

“The government forces are using teargas shells to disperse the stone-throwing youth,” he said.
