Govt Engages FSL Consultant For Rs 5000 Per Day

Srinagar: State home department on Monday accorded sanction to the engagement of Dr. Gandhi P.C.Kaza, former Inspector General of Police and Director of AP Forensic Science Labs as Consultant to the Government of Jammu and Kashmir on Forensic Science/FSL.
As per an government order issued here, he shall be paid an honorarium of Rs 5000 (Rupees five
thousand) per working day during his visits to the State, subject to an upper ceiling of 30 working days
in a year.
Other terms of engangement include that he shall be paid for return air fare for his journeys from
Hyderabad to Srinagar/Jammu and back.
“During his official visits to the State, he shall be treated as State Guest,” the order said, adding, “The engagement shall be for a period of one year in the first instance and shall be terminable by either
party on a months’ notice.”
The consultant, the order says, shall advise the state Government on the preparation of roadmap for revamping/reorganization of the State Forensic Science Laboratory, covering various aspects including up gradation of infrastructure, capacity building and other related matters.
