According to Ministry of External Affairs  the meeting between Sushma Swaraj and Mehmood Qureshi has been called off in wake of recent killings in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.

“Since yesterday’s announcement of meeting of foreign ministers of India & Pakistan, two deeply disturbing developments took place. Latest brutal killings of our security personnel by Pakistan entities & recent release of series of 20 postal stamps by Pakistan glorifying terrorists: MEA spokesperson told Media.

MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar says, “It’s obvious that behind Pakistan’s proposal for talks to make a fresh beginning, evil agenda of Pakistan stands exposed & true face of new Prime Minister of Pakistan has been revealed to world in his first few months in the office”.

The scheduled meet had come after Prime Minister Pakistan Imran Khan wrote to PM Narendra Modi to resume dialogue between two countries.
