Ganderbal: Police on Thursday claimed to have cracked the case of death of a minor whose body was found in mysterious conditions on September 18 in an orchard here. One accused has been arrested in the case and ‘it was an act of revenge’.

Body of Faisal Ahmad Misgar (13) son of Ghulam Hassan Misgar of Busarbugh Alestang was recovered from an orchard, some meters away from his residence, on September 18.

“Abrar Majid Reshi 21, neighbor of the Misgar’s has been arrested in this case and he has confessed to the crime,” SSP Ganderbal Khalil Poswal told a presser here.

According to Poswal, Reshi had proposed to Ghulam Hassan Misger that he intends to marry his daughter but the proposal was rejected. Faisal’s sister was married three days prior to his death. “To take revenge Abrar killed Faisal,” Poswal said. Call details of Abrar have helped to crack the case. According to Poswal, the accused has confessed to the crime and he has been arrested.
