Kulgam: Government Girls Higher Secondary School Katrosoo Kulgam upgraded in 2010 and since then the school is working without a principal  and there is no female teacher posted in school.
A girl student told INS that since the institution is girls school there should be women staff, at least majorly, so that we can express ourselves to them and there are always some problems that we can only share with a female staff.
“The teachers of 9th and 10th class are teaching  12th class students, we don’t understand how?,” they said.

There is a need of new lecturers for 12th class students.

“How can a school run perfectly without a principal,” students said.
The girls school faces another problem. It has no boundary walls making it more difficult for girls to ‘even come out of class rooms’.

“Last year IAS Officer Shah Faisal visited here and we discussed issues faced with school with him as well but who cares,” villagers said.

Parents of the students alleged that the directorate of school education is deliberately neglecting the school for reasons best known to them.

“As and when we have sufficient funds we will construct the wall. In future we will take steps for the betterment of Higher Secondary,” he said.
