Sexagenarian killed, 3 others injured in accident by school bus in Lolab Kupwara

Kupwara: A sexagenarian was killed and three persons were injured when a speeding school bus hit them in Lolab area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Thursday.
Reports said that the bus (JK09A-9261), belonging to Shah Anwar Memorial Trust Khumriyal, hit pedestrians near Doniwari village, leading to injuries to four of them. The injured were immediately removed to Sub-District hospital Kupwara where one of them, Qudratullah Andrabi (68) son of Late Syed Sadat Andrabi of Doniwari Lolab, succumbed to injuries. The three other injured persons have been admitted to the hospital, they said.
A police officer said a case has been registered and further investigations taken up. He said vehicle has seized and a manhunt has been launched to nab the driver who fled from the spot after the accident.
