Rape accused escapes from police custody in Doda

Jammu, Sep 5 : An accused arrested in alleged rape case, managed to a give slip to police from court premises in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said on Wednesday.
“A youth identified as Masood, son of Abdul Ghani Bhat, resident of village Manjmi, Teh Bhagwah, District Doda, was arrested in connection with the crime two months back.
The police said that he was being produced in the court on August 25 but scared of getting being punished, the accused escaped.
Manhunt is on to apprehend the absconding, the police added.
