Water scarcity hits in pulwama village people protested

Pulwama: Water scarcity has hit Gaberpora village of Pulwama in south kashmir badly and residents on Saturday blocked Shopian Pulwama Road to protest callous approach of authorities to mitigate there suffering.

Villagers including Men and women Block Road and protested against PHE department accused that deliberately our Village neglected last Two years Amid knowing the water problem and we discussed with concerned department officials time to time but repeated attempts they dont too to step to solve the problem.

Inhabitants of the village Alleges we faced this problem from years the pipes lines before 30 years are blocked at various places and department accepted it and said we given a new pipelines but the failed to provide yet due to which came to road on today said one the resident Nazir Ahmad bhat.

Department construct water Tank and a water reservaiour near village far away 500 meter before years and given water to other neighbouring villages our village was not given to water from it which village suffer drinking water said, Gh Nabi

When contacted Xen PHE pulwama Bashir Ahmad he said,unfortunately in this village The water comes to village from zahoor which is under shopian jurisdiction.

He added we established a new pipeline in village once funds available the proposal is in progress.

He said JEE pulwama reached the spot and a water tanker will send their.
