Srinagar: CAPD Employees Association Kashmir on Wednesday carried out a protest rally from Srinagar’s Pratap Park to Ganta Ghar, clock tower here in support of Article 35-A.

Scores of employees led by CAPD Employees Association Kashmir president Aijaz Ahmad Khan assembled at Pratap Park here and raised slogans in favour of State Subject Law.

The protesting employees were carrying banner and placards reading slogans like ‘Save Article 35-A.

They later marched towards Ganta Ghar here amid pro-Article 35-A sloganeering.

Khan while talking to reporters here pledged to fight for the defence of Article 35-A, saying that the employees, local traders and people from all walks are united to protect the law.

He said that the employees will be on the forefront to raise the voice against the evil designs, hell-bent to scrap the law. “The Supreme Court must dismiss the bunch of petitions, seeking scrapping of Article 35-A,” he said.
