Suspected militants fired upon a youth in Tral area of South Kashmir on Tuesday afternoon, sources said.
They said that a youth identified as Mohd Amin Malik, son of Late Gh Nabi Malik of lurgam Tral, who is reportedly involved in drug peddling, was shot at on his leg by militants.
The injured was shifted to Sub district hospital Tral, wherefrom he was discharged after treatment.
