Massive landslide on Jmu-Sgr highway, traffic halted

Srinagar: The vital Jammu-Srinagar National Highway has been closed for traffic following a massive landslide at Ramsu on Saturday, officials said.

They said that the road was blocked at Ramsu District Ramban  MS-170.5  as heavy land slide occurred during the night. The area had witnessed rainfall as well.

Meanwhile, officials from the project Beacon and BRO have been pressed into action to clear the debris and open the road for traffic.

The blockade has left several vehicles stranded on the road.
